A. Cultural Innovation and Evolution
These projects of mine examine how material cultural artifacts evolve through social processes. Using computational and historical methods, I traced innovation, interaction, and labeling mechanisms across historical periods and social contexts, ranging from the high Renaissance period to the East Asian society before WWII.
B. Belief and Attitude Updates
These projects of mine map how cognitive structures and internalized beliefs transform under rapid social change. With mathematical methods using Survey data, I examined both the belief networks and life course patterns of Chinese public.
